point for finding the best simulation software package that suits your needs. The functionality of the software varies widely ranging from static and low-frequency applications to high-frequency and optics. Many programs serve specific vertical markets like motor and generator design, antenna design, IC design, signal integrity, optics. At the same time, a significant number of codes is rather general, and they can be applied to a wide
variety of problems. Several publishers also provide multiphysics capabilities ranging from just EM-thermal applications to coupling of EM fields with structural mechanics, fluid dynamics, acoustics and other types of physics.
